Collections and catalogue

The Library has a wide range of items at each branch. New items are always being added and stock is continually being exchanged between locations. Books and other items are grouped together into a number of collections.

Items available for loan include fiction and non-fiction books, videos, cd-roms, large print books, talking books, cassettes and kits.

The fiction collection includes romances, and westerns, while the non-fiction collection has specific biography and LIAC (Legal Information Access Centre) sections. There is a children’s collection and the reference section includes local studies, family history and Australian Bureau of Statistics resources.

There are also newspapers to read and magazines to borrow as well as the Internet to use. The Library also can make available books in languages other than English.
